These are works by Yuki Abe, a ceramic artist who creates pottery in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture.
Ms. Abe values "the interesting shapes, textures, and patterns that clay naturally creates." She mainly produces "Tetsue" series, which are decorated with iron-containing pigments, and "Hibie" series, which create patterns using cracks in white slip.
Having also worked in architecture, many of her pieces feature very modern designs, and she is particular about creating textures that evoke the natural feel of pottery.
