These are works by Yuuki Abe, a ceramic artist who creates pottery in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture.
Ms. Abe values "the interesting shapes, textures, and patterns that the clay itself creates." She primarily produces two series: "Tetsue," which features patterns drawn with iron-containing pigments, and "Hibie," which creates patterns from cracks in white slip.
Having previously worked in architecture, many of her pieces have a very modern design, and she is also particular about creating textures that evoke the natural feel unique to ceramics.
