Yukari Obuchi, a ceramic artist based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, creates beautiful, colorful works using a variety of glazes.

The color combinations change each time, with organic variations resulting from the firing process, such as how the glaze melts and flows.
This creates unique pieces, no two of which are alike.
She employs countless types of layered glazes to create gradients, and in recent years has also produced plates with colorful glazes reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
