Yukari Obuchi, a potter based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, creates works of beautiful hues by skillfully using a variety of colorful glazes.

The color combinations change every time, and organic changes due to firing, such as how the glaze melts and flows, are also added.
This results in unique works, no two of which are alike.
There are numerous types of gradient glazes, and in recent years, she has also created plates painted with colorful glazes reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
