Ms. Obuchi, a ceramic artist based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, creates works of beautiful color tones using a variety of colorful glazes.

The color combinations change each time, with organic changes added during firing, such as how the glaze melts and flows.
This results in unique pieces, no two of which are alike.
There are numerous types of applied glazes creating gradations, and in recent years, she has also been creating plates painted with colorful glazes reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
