These works are by Youji Matsuoka, who creates glass art at his blown glass studio in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Many of Matsuoka's vessels feature gentle, rounded designs, with some even incorporating "Marui" (meaning "round") in their titles.
In addition to his series of clear glass with a subtle amber tint, he also offers a new series of colored glass.
They have a comfortable thickness, fit well in the hand, and are suitable for everyday use.

When light is captured by the transparent, round glass, it creates a warm spot in the space.
