This piece was made by Youji Matsuoka, who runs a blown-glass studio in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Many of Matsuoka's vessels feature gentle, rounded designs, and some are even titled "Marui" (meaning "round").
In addition to the series of clear glass with a slightly amber tint, there is also a new series of colored glass.
They have a good thickness, fit comfortably in the hand, and are suitable for everyday use.
When the transparent, round glass catches the light, it creates a warm spot in the space.
We hope you can experience the warmth infused in Matsuoka's glass and find tranquility in your daily life.
