Takashi Komiya creates his works in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture.
Using the blown glass technique, he produces transparent, gray, and white glass vessels.
His works, characterized by their dignified design, often evoke the subtle fluctuations of nature, such as softness and hazy colors.
The "white vessels" are sandblasted on the outside, resulting in a translucent, smooth texture that allows light to pass through faintly.
The inside is transparent with a color close to gray, so the combination of the inside and outside creates a mysterious color that can also appear as a faint blue.
Many of the transparent glass pieces are made using a mold-blowing technique with a gray base, resulting in a textured finish.
There are also clear series made from recycled glass.
All of his vessels produce beautiful light.
