Mr. Komiya creates his works in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture.
He uses the blown glass technique to create transparent, gray, and white glass vessels.
His dignified designs often exude a sense of natural fluctuation, such as softness and hazy colors.
"White Vessels" are sandblasted on the outside, creating a translucent, smooth texture that allows light to softly pass through.
The inside is a transparent color close to gray, so the combination of the inside and outside creates a mysterious color that can also appear as a faint blue.
Many of the clear glass pieces are finished with a wavy texture using the mold-blown technique with a gray base.
There are also clear series made from recycled glass.
All of them are vessels that produce beautiful light.
