Kumita Hinako, Small Container C

Introducing works by glass artist Hinako Kumita.
Ms. Kumita creates glass pieces with a fantastical worldview.

Her glass pieces, featuring random colors and fine bubbles, are made using the "kiln cast" technique.
This technique involves filling a mold with glass grains or powder and firing it to shape the piece. As each piece requires a new mold, it is very time and labor intensive.
This time, in addition to plates and small containers, we also have "glass drawers."
