Introducing works by glass artist Hinako Kumita.
Ms. Kumita creates glass pieces with a fantastical worldview.
Her glass, which features random colors and fine air bubbles, is made using the "kiln casting" technique.
This technique involves filling a mold with glass grains or powder and firing it to shape the piece, meaning each work uses a dedicated mold, making it very time-consuming and labor-intensive.
This time, in addition to plate dishes and small containers, we also have "glass drawers."
