Ms. Kim creates her works using a unique technique that combines fusing and blown glass.
She creates colors and patterns from individual glass pieces, then combines them and fires them into flat sheets.
These sheets are then shaped into three-dimensional forms using blown glass, given a matte texture with sandblasting, and finally meticulously polished to complete the work.

The overlapping color planes and the beauty when light passes through evoke the traditional Korean textile art "Bojagi."
