Kitagawa Chiyū sen-studio rectangular plate

Based in Mure, Kagawa Prefecture, she creates pieces using a wood lathe with the theme of "living in harmony with nature," highlighting the individuality and texture of the wood.

Her works, which bring out the inherent beauty of the wood grain, convey the careful attention she gives to each piece of wood.
She also creates many pieces using iron mordant, where the wood grain within the dark colors is also beautiful.
