Takeshi Yoshida creates pottery in Mashiko Town, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture, a town famous for its ceramics.
Mr. Yoshida primarily creates series such as "Bronze," which has a texture like unearthed artifacts, and "White Mud Glaze," which resembles ancient wall surfaces.
In recent years, he has also been making unique "Red Glaze" works and an increasing number of highly elaborate, sculptural series.
Many of his works strongly emphasize color and texture, and their unique appearance, like unearthed artifacts, is distinctive.
This time, he also has original ceramic works such as masks and candlesticks.
However, many of his vessels are lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use.

Also, there may be crack-like marks on the back of the vessel or inside the foot, but these are superficial kiln cracks from firing and do not affect use.
