Takeshi Yoshida is a potter based in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture, a town famous for its pottery.
Mr. Yoshida primarily creates "Bronze" series works, which have the texture of excavated artifacts, and "Hakudeisai" (white slip glaze) series works, which resemble ancient ruins. Recently, he has also been creating more elaborate and sculptural series.
Many of his works showcase a strong commitment to color and texture, with a distinctive appearance reminiscent of excavated artifacts. This time, he also presents original ceramic works such as masks and candlesticks.
Despite their artistic qualities, many of his vessels are lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use.
