Takeshi Yoshida is a potter based in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture, a town famous for its pottery.
Mr. Yoshida primarily creates works in two series: "Bronze," which has a texture reminiscent of excavated artifacts, and "Hakudeisai" (White Clay Glaze), which resembles the walls of ancient ruins.
In recent years, he has also added a series with highly elaborate and sculptural elements.
Many of his works clearly demonstrate his commitment to color and texture, with a unique presence like excavated artifacts.
This time, he also has original ceramic works such as masks and candleholders.
On the other hand, many of his vessels are lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use.
