These are the works of Yuta Tsukamoto, a young potter who creates pottery in Taketoyo-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture.
He primarily crafts ceramic vessels formed on a potter's wheel, creating pieces with varying textures: the soft "white," the hard and dignified "black," the subtly gleaming "silver," and the delicate, beautifully crackled "light silver."
For this exhibition, Mr. Tsukamoto created many vessels for Chinese tea and Japanese tea, which he himself enjoys daily.
His abstract, almost sculptural forms and details designed to fit comfortably in the hand reflect the maker's earnest engagement with daily tea time.
Everyday tableware such as plates and bowls, with their simple yet nuanced forms, pair well with various ingredients and blend seamlessly into daily life.
We hope you will choose a piece that enriches your daily life, even if just a little.
