These are works by ceramic artist Eriko Minami.

Like quietly observing and recording the changing sky.
A time to re-examine your ever-changing self through the form of a vessel.

In Eriko Minami's works, two different approaches quietly coexist.

One is a vessel with an intellectual and refined appearance, featuring a smooth matte glaze.
The other is a painterly vessel created by hand-pinching the clay and applying and then scraping off multiple layers of slip.

If the former represents "the stillness of thought" and "an ordered daily life (stillness),"
the latter might be described as "a faint heat" pulsating deep within and "an impulse for expression (movement)."

Smoky gray gradations and layers of clay resembling weathered rock.
Without making loud assertions, these vessels possess the tone of everyday life, simply being there.
Like old photographs or landscapes viewed through a window, they quietly bring the user's memories and recollections into focus.

This is Eriko Minami's current position, where the opposing "stillness" and "movement" are not in conflict but rather in harmony within a single quiet world.

These are vessels that will accompany your daily weather and allow you to enjoy the time of weathering together.
