Introducing works by glass artist Hinako Kumita.
Ms. Kumita creates glass pieces with a fantastical aesthetic.
The glass, featuring random colors and fine bubbles, is created using the "kiln-casting" technique.
This method involves filling a mold with glass grains or powder and then firing it. Since each piece uses a unique mold, it is a very time-consuming and labor-intensive process.
This time, in addition to plate dishes and small containers, we also have "glass drawers."
