These are works by Keicondo, a ceramic artist based in Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element in discussing Kei's ceramics.
The "yellow" that is synonymous with his work, the "white" with its quiet presence, and the "green" he has been working on in recent years.
These colors interact with each other, and when combined, they create a lineup where the individual charm of each stands out.
And this time, "red" has been added as a new color.
The "red" utilizes the natural color of the clay itself from Kasama, Kei's hometown.
The natural hue of the clay gently emerges through firing, revealing an expression that combines calmness and strength.
Adding color means deepening one's understanding of the material.
We hope you can feel the "soil-scape" of Keicondo's ceramics that emerges through each color.
