These are works by Keicondo, a potter working in Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element when discussing Kei's ceramics.
His signature "yellow," the quietly impactful "white," and the "green" he has been exploring in recent years.
Each color resonates with the others, and their combinations highlight their individual charm.
This time, "red" has been added as a new color.
This "red" utilizes the natural color of the soil from Kei's hometown of Kasama.
The natural color of the soil gently emerges through firing, creating an expression that combines both calmness and strength.
Adding color deepens one's understanding of the material.
We hope you can appreciate the "terroir" of Keicondo's ceramics that emerges through each color.
