These are works by Yohei Goto, who has a studio in Chiba Prefecture.
He creates glass artworks using kiln-forming and pâte de verre techniques.
These techniques are very labor-intensive, as they involve creating a mold from an original model, filling it with glass paste, firing it, and then polishing the surface.
However, these techniques create a unique charm, like jewels, with fine bubbles, delicate color gradations, and a translucent finish.
Goto, who also works with stained glass, uses various other techniques and types of glass to create his works.
His pieces exude a poetic tranquility amidst their brightness.
