Yohei Goto Forged Miniglass A

These are works by Yohei Goto, who has a studio in Chiba Prefecture.
He creates glass artworks using kiln-forming and pâte de verre techniques.

These techniques are very labor-intensive, involving creating a mold from an original form, filling it with glass paste, firing it, and then polishing the surface.
However, these techniques produce unique charming results, like precious stones, with fine bubbles, delicate color gradations, and a translucent finish.

Goto, who also works with stained glass, uses a variety of other techniques and types of glass to create his pieces.
His works evoke a poetic serenity amidst their brightness.
