Saeko Tounai Solo Exhibition "Dive to Blue"

May 23 - 31, 2026
Saeko Tounai Solo Exhibition

"Dive to Blue" – an experience that immerses you in a breathtaking sea of color.

Ceramic artist Saeko Fujiuchi creates beautifully cool and refreshing vessels that evoke memories of waterscapes.
Though all called "blue," their expressions vary: vibrant turquoise, deep ultramarine like the ocean depths, and pale sky blue that seems to transmit light.

Layers of glass-like glaze and delicate crackle (kannyu) overlap, allowing you to enjoy a different shade of blue in each piece.

Like diving headfirst into a clear, blue lake of glaze,
we bring you these beautiful and refreshing vessels.

"Dive to Blue" – an experience that immerses you in a breathtaking sea of color.

Ceramic artist Saeko Fujiuchi creates beautifully cool and refreshing vessels that evoke memories of waterscapes.
The sight of various sizes of vessels lined up resembles ripples spreading across a calm water surface.

Though all called "blue," their expressions vary.
Vibrant turquoise, deep ultramarine like the ocean depths, and pale sky blue that seems to transmit light.

Layers of glossy, glass-like glaze and delicate crackle (kannyu) overlap, allowing you to enjoy a different shade of blue in each piece.

Based on her formative landscapes growing up by Lake Biwa, Fujiuchi's works are imbued with the wish to "brighten daily life."

Like diving headfirst into a clear, blue lake of glaze,
we bring you these beautiful and refreshing vessels.
